Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday 2-6PM with more hours available
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe and positive environment.
- Lead and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment programs.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and character development.
- Monitor attendance and maintain appropriate child supervision at all times.
- Assist with program setup, cleanup, snack distribution, and daily operations.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies following YMCA procedures.
- Work collaboratively with site staff to provide a high-quality childcare experience.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years old and meet one of the following NH State Licensing requirements:
- At least 3 college credits in Education, Human Growth & Development, Recreation, or Early Childhood Education; OR
- 600 verifiable hours working with children; OR
- 5 years of parenting experience.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within the required timeframe.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively participate in children’s activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working in an active childcare environment.

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
