Role Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, mission-driven Funding & Grants Strategist to help secure financial opportunities that fund our expanding programs in arts, wellness, education, and youth empowerment. This role is vital in helping us structure and scale our nonprofit and creative initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources, including grants and contracts that align with organizational goals.
Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with funder requirements.
Develop detailed budgets for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational financial policies.
Prepare financial reports related to grants and contracts, ensuring timely submission to funders.
Maintain organized databases of funding opportunities, proposal submissions, and grant outcomes.
Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information for proposal development and reporting.
Provide technical writing support for various documents related to funding applications.
Qualifications
Proven experience in grant proposal writing and financial report writing.
Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail in editing documents.
Proficiency in budgeting processes related to grant applications.
Familiarity with databases for tracking funding opportunities and submissions.
Excellent research skills to identify relevant funding sources.
Ability to write clearly and concisely in a technical context.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A background in nonprofit management or related fields is preferred but not required.
