About Us:

Project Rise with Dr. Helen Inc. is a New York-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering women (ages 25-55) with college degrees to break into leadership roles through project management training and mentorship. Our mission is to help women thrive in their careers by providing certification, mentorship, and career placement, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and workforce development.

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Founder/Executive Director with day-to-day operations, grant writing, outreach, and intern coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support

Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, schedule meetings, and follow up on tasks.

Organize emails, prioritize communications, and ensure timely responses.

Assist with grant writing and tracking deadlines.

Outreach & Partnerships

Maintain communication with corporate partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.

Coordinate follow-ups to ensure leads are nurtured and partnerships are secured.

Intern Management

Oversee a team of interns supporting grant research, outreach, and social media.

Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.

Administrative Tasks

Organize and maintain digital files and documents using Google Drive.

Support event coordination, virtual meetings, and program logistics.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or similar role (preferably in a nonprofit environment)

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Microsoft Office, and Zoom

Familiarity with grant writing, research, and nonprofit operations is a plus

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
