Part Time Art Teacher Jobs in Wake Forest, NC at Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County
Plans, organizes, promotes, & implements a diversified Fine Arts program for members 6-15 including Collage, Multicolored Drawing, Mixed Media, Monochromatic, Oil or Acrylic, Pastel, Print Making and Watercolor.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees structured fine arts program for the Club for members 6-18 years.
· Organize assigned programs and activities for education programs.
· Provides support to the Club sites with outcome goals and objectives based on needs of members, families, and community.
· Establishes and maintains a rapport with Club staff and parents.
· Tracks member participation in assigned program area.
· Provides instruction and engages with members with programming within the Core Program area.
· Works with both staff and volunteers to support the Club’s fine arts program.
· Encourages emotional, social, and educational growth of individual members.
· Prepare and host your Club’s Fine Arts Exhibit.
· Any other tasks assigned.
Experience and Skills
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalency.
· Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts preferred.
Experience Requirements:
· Experience in program implementation.
· Experience directly related to youth and youth programming.
· Experience or course of study in fine arts.
· Presentation or portfolio of personal work.
· Presentation or portfolio of work with students.
Skills:
· Enjoys working with youth ages 6-18 years old.
· Demonstrated examples of working with youth.
· Group management.
· Ability to take direction.
· Highly organized with attention to detail.
· Ability to relate effectively with diverse population.
· Good communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to create, market and implement programs for youth.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
