Responsibilities:


Patient Communication & Support

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls and messages.
  • Serve as a primary contact for patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and direct clinical concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Facilitate communication among patients, families, providers, and staff.


Scheduling & Care Coordination

  • Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments.
  • Maintain provider schedules and appointment calendars.
  • Confirm appointments and communicate schedule changes.
  • Support coordination of patient care activities and follow-up needs.


Patient Registration, Insurance & Billing Support

  • Verify insurance eligibility and demographic information.
  • Obtain and maintain patient consents and required documentation.
  • Collect and update patient registration information, including Social Security and guarantor information as required.
  • Support billing processes by ensuring accurate patient and insurance information.
  • Assist with resolving registration, insurance, and billing-related issues.


Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Process incoming records, correspondence, and forms.
  • Assist with reports, data tracking, and other administrative duties


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior administrative experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical scheduling, insurance verification, registration, or billing processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Communicate by phone, writing, typing, speaking
  • Prolonged screen-focused duties in a stationary position
  • Lift up to 20 pounds
  • Local and regional travel and work hours that will extend into the evenings and weekends when necessary
