Job Description
Develops strategies for education and counseling within the community, focusing on health, wellness, and injury prevention.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement programs that foster community engagement with the system and hospitals.
Plan and execute programs such as fairs, seminars, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and public forums.
Identify areas for program development by engaging with community, civic, business, and service organizations; represent the hospital in community activities.
Create and design outreach materials including brochures, newsletters, displays, lectures, flyers, etc.
Maintain policies and procedures aligned with the needs of the system and department.
Develop public relations tools to increase community awareness of the hospitals.
Coordinate community wellness and injury prevention programs.
Identify funding sources, participate in grant writing, and explore fundraising opportunities.
Collaborate with staff from linking agencies, sharing relevant information and addressing community issues.
Work under general guidance, making independent decisions as needed.
Perform other related duties as required, considering all responsibilities as essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience required.
