Outlet Clerk Processor – Full Time Jobs in Stockton, CA at Goodwill Industries Of San Joaquin
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Outlet Store Manager, the Clerk Processor is responsible for cashiering, receiving, staging and sorting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Operate cash register with accuracy. Follow Agency cash handling policies.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Inspect tri-walls for items not to be sold to customers and separate for salvage revenue programs, i.e. electronics, shoes, books, metal, plastic, etc.
Support Agency safety program.
Assist in store housekeeping to include store and processing areas ensuring a safe and orderly work environment.
Observe and support Agency policies.
Regular attendance is required to perform the essential functions of the job.
SECONDARY DUTIES
Keep Outlet Store Manager informed as to merchandise needs and supplies, including maintenance and/or repairs of equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Elementary education or accredited equivalent.
Experience Required: Six months experience in retail sales, processing, cash register, warehousing and customer service.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge Required: General retail principles and warehouse operations; effective internal and external customer relations; familiarity with conflict resolution; and accurate cash handling/register operation. Knowledge of material handling equipment.
Equipment Used: Electronic cash register, calculator, pallet jack, hand trucks and electric lift.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Ability to be flexible in performing a variety of tasks.
Ability to communicate and interact courteously with customers.
Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal direction.
EMOTIONAL EFFORT
This position requires moderate to heavy emotional effort involving low to high customer interaction (internal and external) with occasional emotional effort required in resolving customer conflicts. Work environment is fast paced with high activity/demands.
JOB SETTING
Variable environmental conditions ranging from 25 to 115 degrees. Exposure to elements. Flexible work schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as scheduled.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift 50 lbs. and have good hand/eye coordination. Good dexterity in upper extremities and upper torso, moving from side to side, bending at the waist.
