Pay Band: $30 per hour, negotiable

General Description

The Outdoor Explorers for All Consultant will work directly with the Blue Star Families’ Program

Manager, Outdoor Explorers For All to execute and support Blue Star Families’ Outdoor Explorers

for All Program. The Consultant will assist with communication and administrative tasks related

to that program.

This is a project-based, part-time, independent contractor role.

Key Job Functions

Assist as a spokesperson for the Outdoor Explorers for All Program

Assist as a liaison for the Outdoor Explorers for All Program

Perform administrative tasks in Microsoft Office and Google suite

Complete project related tasks, and record in project Management system

Collaborate with corporate partners, institutional partners, non-profits, military-support

organizations (MSOs), and veterans-service organizations (VSOs) to assist in the creation

cross-sector partnerships and programs as needed

Collaborate with the BSF Chapters team to execute virtual and on-the-ground initiatives

related to Outdoor Explorers for All Program

Support team by performing tasks related to organization, administrative, scheduling

Maintain an understanding of Blue Star Families’ programmatic goals and their relationship

to targets and priorities

Perform other project related duties

Required Experience, Skills, Background

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience

1-2 years of work experience, preferably with program(s) supporting Outdoors initiatives

Ability to work autonomously and provide deliverables within agreed-upon timelines.

Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced

environment

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of the military family experience

Experience and/or comfort working in a virtual environment
