Job Summary:

Do you have a passion for supporting local arts, culture, and community initiatives? Our small, rural cultural center, located in the beautiful Minnesota lakes country, is seeking a dedicated and highly organized individual tojoin ourdynamicteam. The Operations Specialist provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director (ED), Artistic Director (AD), and Board of Directors. This role manages day-to-day administrative functions, coordinates internal and external communications, assists with organizational events, supports a capital campaign, and maintains office operations.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in acollaborativearts and cultural environment. This position offers the potential for future growth into an arts administrationleadershiprole.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Campaign Support:Assist with scheduling, prospect list management, gift and pledge tracking, and communications with donors, staff, board, and committee members. Serve as stakeholder liaison among internal teams, Board of Directors, artists, performers, and community stakeholders, ensuring smoothcommunicationand positive relationships. Track progress on campaign goals, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.

Executive Support:Help manage the ED’s schedule, deadlines, and priorities related to both the capital campaign and program management. Handle confidential matters with discretion andprofessionalism. Arts of support include finance & development assistance, administrative, board & governance support, event assistance, and office operations support.

Qualifications:

Experience:Minimum 3-5 years in an executive assistant or administrative support role, preferably within the nonprofit or arts sector. Experience working with boards of directors is a plus.

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in arts organizations, event planning, office management, or nonprofit operations may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite. Experience with donor management, financial tracking, or point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Personal Attributes:Self-starter with excellent time-management,communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Supplemental Information:

Hours:Part-time, Monday – Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work required for events.

Compensation:Approximately 20 hours per week, $15-$17 per hour based on experience. IncludesPaid Time Off. 12-month position with potential for continuation based on funding, performance, and organizational fit.
