Operations Manager for Non Profit in Farming
Sweet Wheel Summerland Farm/Santa Barbara Agriculture and Farm Education seeks an operation manager. Our mission is : “to educate, promote and increase awareness on how our food is grown, propagated and distributed to minors, underserved, unrecognized and fragile populations particularly in the food desert areas of Santa Barbara County through innovative farming.”
We are seeking an individual who is committed to operations for the long term growth and marketing of our organically farmed goods. We are seeking someone who is committed to education on environmental and regenerative farming. An ideal candidate would be a big thinker on how the world would be a better place with organic and nutritious foods instead of pesticides and chemicals. They would have at least three years of management experience, including leaseholds or real estate, legal document oversight experience, environmental studies or legal background, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Your job will oversee management of farm and farmstand operations. Strategic planning and implementation of farm products, brand building of SB Agriculture Foundation/ Sweet Wheel Farms including oversight of education videos.

Oversight of branding on operation side

Qualifications
Passionate about mission, regenerative and organic farming
Non-profit mindset, community minded
Self starter, ability to work independently
Fluid problem solver as relates to farming
Charismatic personality (must be able to build solid relationships with public, farmers, vendors, customers, attorneys, and other professionals)
