Position Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part Time (24-26 hours per week)

Overall Function: This role is key in managing our day-to-day biscuit making operation. The Operations Manager oversees a team of 8 part-time staff, within a non-profit organization that empowers approximately 300+ individuals with disabilities who are involved in the creation of our biscuits. Other key duties include production planning, warehouse/inventory management, supply/ingredient procurement, and satellite location management. This part-time position is in Grand Rapids, MI with a Monday – Thursday, 8am – 2pm schedule and occasional weekend hours as-needed to work community Events.
Essential Job Duties
Responsible for participating in the positive environment of Beer City Dog Biscuits in a manner that fulfills and furthers the mission of the organization as defined by the Board of Directors
Manages 8 part-time staff including: Volunteer Supervisor, Fulfillment Coordinator, 2 Kitchen Supervisors and 4 paid “Brew Bakers” (adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities)
Culture development with Brew Baker transition programs, adult foster care homes, work skills programs, staff, and individuals
Operational Management
Oversees daily/weekly setup and break down of all workstations
Collaborates with Kitchen Supervisors & Fulfillment Coordinator to execute daily/weekly production plan
Collaborates with Volunteer Supervisor to assign job tasks to Brew Bakers, Leadership Volunteers and Corporate Volunteer groups
Maintains communication with Sunshine Community Church Facilities Manager (our operation is housed inside SCC)
Warehouse/Inventory Management
Responsible for inventory management and warehouse organization
Fulfills online & Retailer orders in the absence of Fulfillment Coordinator
Supply Procurement
Responsible for ordering biscuit ingredients
Maintain communication with Founders Brewing Co to obtain spent grains
Maintain communication with our Brew Baker Delivery Team for pick up/drop off
Satellite Location Management
Coordinates with two current BCDB Satellite locations on task assignments, quality control and drop off/pick up of supplies
Pursues new potential Satellite locations

Minimum of 5 years of operations and leadership experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team of at least 5 people
Ability to lead confidently and strive for results
Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
Commitment to working with diverse groups of people
Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage time and schedule effectively
