Serving communities across Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, the organization provides free, safe, and confidential support, education, and advocacy services in both English and Spanish and Creole.
Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, role based in Miami, FL, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees day-to-day operational functions, including office administration, Board management and some Human Resources function. The Operations Manager will manage internal processes, support staff and volunteers, maintain records and databases, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. They will assist with budgeting and basic financial tracking, vendor and facility management, and coordination of meetings. The role also involves supporting communication workflows, optimizing operational efficiency, and collaborating with leadership to implement organizational improvements.
Qualifications
- Operational and administrative skills, including office management, process coordination, and record-keeping.
- Basic financial and budgeting skills, such as expense tracking, invoice processing, and vendor management.
- Organizational and project coordination skills, including scheduling, event logistics, and program support.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with standard office software, online collaboration tools, and database or CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of or interest in mental health advocacy and community-based services; prior nonprofit experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred to support diverse communities in Miami-Dade County.
