Operations Manager – Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County Full-Time
On-Site Travel Required Across Merced County
Position Summary
The Operations Manager oversees daily operations across multiple Boys & Girls Club sites in Merced County. This role ensures high‑quality youth programs, strong staff performance, safe facilities, and positive community relationships. The position is based at the main office in Merced and requires regular travel to Club sites throughout the county.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Program Leadership Team in delivering outcome‑driven youth programs.
- Ensure safe, clean, welcoming Club environments and compliance with BGCA standards.
- Oversee staff training, development, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Manage Club operations, facilities, equipment, and administrative systems.
- Support strategic planning, program evaluation, and monthly reporting.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff and volunteers.
- Build partnerships with schools, community groups, and youth‑serving organizations.
- Promote Club membership and coordinate program publicity.
- Participate in annual budget development and manage expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years nonprofit operations management + 2 years Program Supervisor‑level experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and staff supervision skills.
- Experience with facilities management, budgeting, and fundraising events.
- Ability to manage youth behavior and communicate effectively with families.
- Valid CA Driver’s License.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Pay: From $31.58 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
