Position: 5 Online Volunteer Tutor For Grades 2-6
Step Up Tutoring is seeking volunteers to provide virtual 1-on-1 tutoring to 2nd-6th grade students from underserved communities to help build fundamental math and literacy skills and to provide support and encouragement. All tutoring will take place virtually! All you need is a computer and internet access. No prior tutoring experience is needed.
Responsibilities:
Tutor 1-on-1 twice a week via an online video platform; each session is 45 minutes.
All training is done through online, self-paced modules.
Focus on building fundamental math and literacy skills using an evidence-based online program.
Structured and flexible schedules available.
Step Up Tutoring’s mission is to drive student success by providing virtual high-impact tutoring and mentorship to elementary and middle school students in under-resourced communities. We recruit, train, and support mission-driven high-value tutors to provide individualized academic support and boost habits of success.

Step Up Tutoring is a California based non-profit organization seeking to close the education gap while developing enduring bonds and cultivating academic success through fun online learning activities.
Through our partnership with LAUSD, and with the help of our dedicated volunteers, we offer free online tutoring and mentoring for students grades 2nd-6th to improve student success in under-resourced communities.
