Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings, including Level II Trauma Centers. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient management and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients across different demographics, including geriatrics and family planning.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine health status and needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Perform IV insertion and other necessary procedures as required.
Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members in hospital medicine settings.
Manage laboratory tests, including ordering, interpreting results, and following up with patients.
Maintain accurate patient records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
Stay updated on best practices in coding for medical billing purposes.
Skills
Proficient in IV insertion techniques and related procedures.
Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
Strong knowledge of geriatrics and family planning practices.
Familiarity with hospital medicine protocols and procedures.
Understanding of medical coding practices.
Solid anatomy knowledge to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Excellent health coaching skills to promote patient engagement in their care.
Competence in laboratory procedures and test interpretation.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
