JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate is someone who can effectively manage campaigns and events, is skilled at persuading and building rapport, and has a passion for Upper Shore Aging’s cause.
Ultimately, the role of the Nonprofit Fundraiser is to ensure the financial sustainability of Upper Shore Aging, enabling us to continue making a positive impact on the seniors in Caroline, Kent, and Talbot counties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
· Identifying potential donors and sponsors and building relationships with them.
· Organizing events and initiatives to raise funds and promote the organization.
· Maintaining records of donations and sponsorships.
· Communicating with donors and the public about the organization’s cause and how their donations are used.
· Working with volunteers and staff to organize events for fundraising purposes.
· Creating fundraising literature and promotional materials.
· Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local fundraising laws and regulations.
· Monitoring and evaluating the success of fundraising campaigns and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven experience as a Fundraiser or a similar role.
· Ability to create and implement strategic fundraising plans.
· Strong networking skills.
· Working knowledge of MS Office and fundraising software.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to think critically and solve problems.
. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually with little supervision and instruction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations or related field is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct or indirect reports.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
Office setting with occasional travel for events and meetings with donors.
Some remote work may be possible.
Must be able to speak pleasantly to a variety of individuals and groups in seeking donations and support for Upper Shore Aging’s various programs.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, including but not limited to: Driving Record, Criminal Background, Sex Offender Registry, Reference Check, Credit Check, etc.
Must be willing to submit to a drug and alcohol screening.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance coverage.
