Affinity Consulting Group is assisting with the hiring of a Non-Profit Organizations Corporate Attorney for one of our law firm clients. This is a remote position for someone located in the New York City vicinity.

The Role:
We are seeking an experiencedtransactionalattorneyto join the Firm’s growing practice.This is a client-facing corporate role within a focusedtax-exempt organizations practice. Matters are sophisticated, high-volume, and operationally real, involving governance, contracts, and organizational decision-making for nonprofits. The attorney in this position will work across the full breadth of the firm’s corporate and nonprofit matters.
The position involves a broad range of corporate and nonprofit legal work, including:
- Drafting, negotiating,and reviewing contracts, fromroutine operational agreements tocomplex and specialized transactions, including the development of user-friendly templates
- Advising onnonprofitgovernance,board matters, and organizational policies
- Handling allaspects of corporate formationand restructuring
- Conducting legalresearch onNew YorkNon-Profit Corporation Law, employment law,and legislative developments affectingnonprofit organizations
CandidateQualifications:
We are seeking an experienced attorney with a solid academic and professional record and a demonstrated focus on advising nonprofit organizations.
Candidates should have:
- J.D. with strong academic credentials and admission to practice in New York
- 5+ years of direct nonprofit corporate transactional experience, ideally within a tax-exempt organization or advising tax-exempt organization clients regularly at a law firm
- Experience handling nonprofit governance, contracts, and corporate matters as a core part of their practice (i.e., not just occasional nonprofit or pro bono matters)
- Ability to step into client matters with minimal ramp-up and limited training
- A genuine commitment to mission-driven work and building a long-term role with the Firm.
- Candidates should be seeking a long-term, committed rolewithin a boutique firm environment

Candidates are not expected to bring their own book or business.However, the hired candidatewill be encouraged to learn and engage in the Firm’s business development strategies.
This position is for a straight shooter, looking to do high-quality work without the politics of a larger firm orcompany, and interested in a clear long-term path to career development.
Flexible Hours and Location (Remote)
This position can be a full-time position, or the Firm may hire one or more part-time roles.
Full-time attorneys will enjoy a flexiblesalariedschedule but are expected to be availablegenerally duringour client’s working hours.
The schedule and hours of part-time attorneys will bedeterminedon a case-by-case basis.While the schedule can be flexible, it should befairly regularto ensure consistencyand availability to meetclient demands.
This is a remote position for someonelocatedin New York City, or within four (4) hours of New York City who is available for occasional meetings in NYC. The firmoperatesout of New York City and Rhinebeck, NY.
While the Firm’s work is fast-paced and demandshigh standardsin meeting client needs, wemaintaina strong commitment to scheduling flexibility and work-life balance.
The Firm offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, life, 401k profit sharing, defined benefit retirement plan, and paid vacation.
Part-time compensation will be prorated based on the agreed-upon hours commitment.
