What You’ll Do:
· Install, configure, and maintain network systems, hardware, and software to ensure optimal performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across client environments, minimizing downtime and disruptions to critical business operations. Perform diagnostics using tools and platforms such as Meraki, routing protocols, and firewall management systems.
· Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement using advanced diagnostic tools.
· Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and client contacts to ensure network reliability, security, and efficiency across multiple environments.
· Document network configurations, upgrades, and repairs to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
· Assist with network expansion projects, including planning, testing, and implementing new solutions.
· Stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies in the networking space to recommend and integrate best practices.
· Travel up to 10% may be required, including occasional overnight travel. This is a remote position that requires reliable transportation for onsite client visits and monthly travel to Tulsa.
Who You Are:
· Minimum qualifications include at least 2 years of hands-on experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting multiple client environments, managing competing priorities, working within ticketing systems, and delivering professional remote and onsite technical support.
· You have a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, IP addressing, routing, and switching, and you can apply that knowledge across multiple client environments.
· You possess hands-on experience with network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
· You’re a problem solver who thrives on troubleshooting complex network issues and finding creative solutions.
· You’re familiar with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) and can leverage them to optimize performance.
· You understand and value network security protocols and practices, ensuring a safe and compliant infrastructure. Experience with Palo Alto and FortiNet preferred.
· You can communicate technical concepts clearly, whether with team members or non-technical stakeholders.
· Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent experience are preferred.
