As the Manager for Natural Areas, you will be responsible for implementing conservation programs in northeastern Ontario, building relationships with Indigenous partners, and managing extensive forested landscapes. This role involves leading various conservation projects, conducting monitoring activities, and securing lands for conservation purposes. The ideal candidate will have robust knowledge of northern ecosystems and experience in collaborative conservation management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement stewardship conservation actions and land management

• Lead wildlife monitoring and habitat restoration projects

• Coordinate land securement initiatives and site visits

• Foster collaborations with Indigenous and local communities

• Oversee public outreach events on conservation practices

Requirements:

• Degree with 5 years in conservation management

• In-depth understanding of ecological practices

• Experience working with Indigenous groups

• Strong leadership and partnership-building skills

• Expertise in project planning and budgeting
