Lead the CCCB’s Migrant and Refugee Ministry as a National Coordinator based in Ottawa, guiding local dioceses in effective pastoral support. This pivotal role focuses on coordinating services for vulnerable migrant populations.
Under the supervision of the CCCB General Secretary, the National Coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive three-year Migrant and Refugee Service. You will serve as a national resource for dioceses, enhancing their response to the complex realities faced by migrants and refugees. Your collaboration with various partners will strengthen local ministry and public awareness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and manage the CCCB Migrant Ministry Service
• Build relationships with diocesan representatives and relevant organizations
• Develop practical resources and organize formation events
• Monitor public policy issues affecting vulnerable migrants
• Evaluate service outcomes and prepare necessary reports
Requirements:
• University degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years in ministry or related settings
• Strong knowledge of Catholic structures and Social Teaching
• Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and French
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and organizational skills
