Position: NAMI Peer Program Coordinator – Full Time
NAMI Palm Beach County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Program Coordinator to join our team. The Peer Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and implementing peer support programs aimed at providing hope, support, and education to individuals living with mental health conditions. This role involves coordinating peer-led support groups and classes, training peer volunteers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that empower participants to achieve their best quality of life.

Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate, implement, and manage NAMI PBC peer education and support services
Develop new programs in response to community needs
Facilitate programs as appropriate based upon training levels obtained through NAMI Florida
Recruit, train, and supervise peer volunteers
Schedule programs utilizing the appropriate platform, including but not limited to:
Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and others as needed
Coordinate and serve as a master trainer for certification sessions
Coordinate instructor trainings and provide technical assistance to trainers during the session
Supervise and provide support and technical assistance to those implementing peer education programs and support services
Maintain current teacher and support group facilitator databases
Input program data in NAMI PBC and NAMI national databases
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program activities
Market and schedule presentations
Collaborate with community partners to enhance program outreach and impact
Assume any other duties as needed and/or assigned by the CEO
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma required; BA in Human Services field preferred
Lived experience with mental health conditions and a strong commitment to peer support
Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of hire
Three years’ experience working in a social service, mental health or medical organization position preferred
