National Alzheimer’s Buddies (NAB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease. NAB seeks to alleviate the often-overlooked emotional and social challenges that stem from Alzheimer’s by building friendships between college students and Alzheimer’s residents that bring out the beauty of the person still present.
Open Positions
National Director Positions:
- National Director of Chapter Relations
- National Director of Volunteer Relations
- National Director of Facility Relations
- National Director of Family Relations
- National Director of Program Strategy
- National Director of Impact
- 4-6 hour weekly commitment
National Chair Positions:
- Chapter Relations Chairs: Chapter management chair, chapter recruitment chair, chapter development chair, and chapter activities chair
- Volunteer Relations Chairs: Volunteer management chair, volunteer engagement chair, and alumni engagement chair
- Program Chairs: Program development chair, resource development chair, program evaluation chair
- Impact Chairs: Resource & cultural accessibility chair, community outreach chair, national symposium chair
- Finance Chairs: National grants management chair, national fundraising chair, and corporate relations and sponsorship chair
- Marketing Chairs: Social media chair, public relations chair, communications chair, storytelling / narrative impact chair, website design chair
- 3-5 hour weekly commitment
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with students, care facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Organizational and time-management abilities for managing records, event planning, and program logistics.
- Adaptability, empathy, and a passion for working in community service or with individuals impacted by Alzheimer's Disease.
- Experience in training, event coordination, or volunteer management is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or equivalent experience preferred.
