Multi-Site Afterschool Supervisor Jobs in Brooklyn, NY at Samfely Center

Job Summary

The Multi-Site Supervisor is Samfely’s on-the-ground leader across all three sites, responsible for the quality, consistency, and compliance of our afterschool programming. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this person coaches and supports our Program Directors and Site Supervisors, builds strong relationships with our host schools and community partners, and ensures every site meets its DYCD and OCFS obligations. This is a pivotal start-up role for someone who leads with warmth, moves fluidly between the big picture and the daily details, and wants to help a growing nonprofit deliver on its promise to families.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, youth development, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years in afterschool or youth programming, including supervisory experience (multi-site experience a plus).
  • Working knowledge of DYCD COMPASS and/or OCFS school-age childcare (SACC) requirements.
  • Able to travel to 1 site each day (all within a 20-30 minute driving commute of each other)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort with program data and communication systems (DYCD Connect, Brightwheel) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to clear required background checks (fingerprinting and SCR) and to serve as a Mandated Reporter.
  • Ability to travel among three Brooklyn sites during program hours.

Preferred

  • Experience with school-based OST programs and NYC DOE school partnerships.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Haitian Creole) given the communities we serve.
  • Current CPR / First Aid certification or willing to obtain within first 2 months

Program Quality & Oversight

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of programming across 3 schools (within 15 miles of each) , ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of the Samfely model.
  • Conduct regular site visits and observations; coach Program Directors and Site Supervisors on program quality, youth development, and Harmony SEL.
  • Ensure the daily model — staggered arrival, Power Hour, enrichment, and required adult-to-child ratios — runs consistently and safely at every site.
  • Monitor enrollment, attendance, and retention, and help sites meet DYCD deliverables and targets.

School & Community Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with host-school principals and staff, and with the 110 Lenox community.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Samfely and school administration, DYCD program officers, and community partners.
  • Represent Samfely professionally at partner, school, and DYCD meetings.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure each site meets OCFS / SACC, DYCD COMPASS, and health-and-safety requirements.
  • Support clearance tracking, staff training and certification compliance, and accurate attendance in DYCD Connect.
  • Prepare sites for DYCD and OCFS visits and audits, and follow through on any corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized program documentation and records.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and support Program Directors and Site Supervisors across sites.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development, including the pre-service training week.
  • Model and reinforce the RICCE principles and Samfely’s family-first culture.

Family Engagement, Data & Operations

  • Ensure consistent family communication through Brightwheel and strong family-engagement events across sites.
  • Support the resolution of escalated family concerns, warmly and promptly.
  • Track and report program data and outcomes to the Assistant Director and Executive Director.
  • Support budget adherence, supply coordination, and the ongoing improvement of program systems and policies.
