New Digital Platform Simplifies Licensing and Enhances Lost Pet Recovery Services
The City of Casa Grande is partnering with Docu Pet, a global leader in pet identification and lost pet recovery, to make pet licensing easier and more effective. This new online platform streamlines the registration process for pet owners and provides free access to Docu Pet’s Home Safe 24/7 lost pet service, helping pets get reunited with their families quickly and reducing shelter intakes.
Pet owners can now register their pets online, choose from a variety of designer pet tags or create custom designs. Each tag features a unique code linked to the pet’s secure online profile, enabling anyone who finds a lost pet to file a Found Pet Report easily. Pet owners can also submit a Lost Pet Report immediately if their pet goes missing, increasing the chances of a quick reunion.
“We’re excited to partner with Docu Pet to offer this new service to pet owners in Casa Grande,” said Cerise Shanafelt, Animal Control Supervisor. “This easy-to-use licensing system will help reduce the number of animals in shelters, allowing us to focus more resources on pets in critical need.”
The collaboration with Docu Pet enhances local animal services’ efficiency and provides peace of mind to pet owners. “Pets with Docu Pet tags typically spend less time in shelters than those without licenses,” said Grant Goodwin, CEO of Docu Pet. “We’re proud to work with Casa Grande to improve pet identification and reunification.”
All cats and dogs in Casa Grande are required to be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Pet owners can learn more and register their pets online. Licensing is also available by mail, phone, or in person.
