Tasks:
PLEASE NOTE:
volunteers must provide their own transport, as there is no bus service.
Volunteers will provide a warm welcome to all visitors and create a positive first impression of Mount Congreve Gardens. In the course of their activities they will:
Expertly demonstrate complete knowledge of the attractions, facilities, and exhibitions and be able to convey information regarding other visitor attractions locally.
Support all Front of House team members to achieve and maintain standards to the highest possible level.
Assist with keeping all front-of-house areas clean and well-presented.
Assist visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner upon arrival.
Seek to engage, interact, and communicate with visitors throughout their visit. Actively promote ways to add value to their experience and to aspire to surpass their expectations.
Attend regular briefings as set out by the Front of House Supervisor.
Provide operational assistance for key events.
Always represent Mount Congreve Gardens in a positive and professional way.
What’s Required
A passion for working with people.
Experience in a customer service environment is desirable.
Experience using a till and cash-handling.
Strong communication skills.
Experience or interest in horticulture and/or local history would be beneficial but not essential.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Level of English Required
Fluent English

Minimum time commitment: 6 months
