Key Responsibilities

Transform the financial departments of our clients, enabling them to fulfill their missions.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management and board presentations.

Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting practices, operations, internal controls, and compliance measures.

Support clients in establishing strategic best practices.

Oversee transactional activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and workpapers.

Conduct financial analysis and data visualization, along with budgeting and forecasting.

Manage grant activities, allocations, and reporting to funders.

Prepare and oversee annual audits.

Provide training to clients and staff as needed.

Required Skills

A passion for working with or supporting nonprofit organizations.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with various General Ledger packages, particularly QuickBooks, and electronic bill payment systems.

Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and maintain responsiveness.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience is essential.

Prior experience in a remote working environment is preferred.

Nonprofit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a valuable asset but not mandatory.

CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation And Benefits
