What You Will Do
This position works closely with SVP of Community and Media Relations to tactically plan and execute key events to increase awareness and vendor engagement. Actively manages overall event logistics for multiple events such as Lone Star Roundup, Golf Tournament and Clay Shoots. Coordinates all amenities and accommodations for events to include working with both internal and external vendors, organizations and representatives. Monitors and controls event budgets and assists in negotiating all necessary contracts. Identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the Credit Union’s values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Completes other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
What We Require
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five (5) years of event planning experience. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Also proficient with InDesign, Photoshop and Publisher. Able to meet deadlines with high quality standards. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills. Able to prioritize and complete numerous projects and tasks with optimum efficiency and productivity and handle a significant workload. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work with all levels of internal and external contacts in a professional manner.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
