About the role: Join a leading PE-backed multi-state ophthalmology group committed to transforming eye care through strategic growth and innovation. Reporting directly to the Vice President of M&A and Business Development, you will be responsible for leading the expansion strategy for our client’s vision to partner with leading eyecare providers in the Southwest region.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities in the ophthalmology sector.

Develop and implement M&A strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

Conduct thorough due diligence to assess financial, operational, and strategic fit of potential targets.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to facilitate the transaction process.

Negotiate terms and conditions of deals to maximize value for the company.

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape in ophthalmology and optometry.

Prepare and present detailed analyses and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.

Manage post-merger integration efforts to ensure alignment with corporate goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or private equity.

Proven track record of successfully leading M&A transactions from LOI to close.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Experience in the healthcare sector, ophthalmology is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Benefits and Compensation Package:

Base salary: $160,00-$185,000 commensurate with experience.
