Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Mental Health Consultant based in the Greater Chicago Area. The Mental Health Consultant will be responsible for supporting the emotional and mental wellness of program participants through assessments, one-on-one counseling, and group sessions. The specialist will collaborate closely with staff, coaches, and mentors to address participants' behavioral and mental health needs. Additional tasks include developing and implementing mental health strategies, creating resources for mental wellness, and providing insights to enhance program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Psychology, Mental Health, and Behavioral Health
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of mental health interventions and creating individualized care plans
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support at-risk youth
- Licensed or certified mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred
- Familiarity with challenges facing youth in underserved communities is a plus
