Job Description

Coordinates all medical staff education initiatives, including CME programs and tracking. Manages educational initiatives to promote professional practice standards and innovative care delivery models. Oversees provider orientation programs. Coordinates medical student, resident, and intern program initiatives in collaboration with educational institutions. Manages educational activities for students in professions requiring medical staff privileges upon completion and licensure. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of planned educational objectives for provider professional development. Cultivates and maintains beneficial relationships to enhance collaboration between medical staff and support departments. Prepares, develops, and maintains various files, records, and reports related to educational activities. Provides oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Meets target goals for special projects and initiatives, recommending future modifications as necessary. Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in physician and provider professional development practices.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written [Required]
  • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel [Required]
  • Working knowledge of multiple and varied system applications and hardware related platforms as they relate to a hospital MIS environment [Preferred]
