Job Description
New Era is looking for an intern to work at our EMEA HQ in Milton Keynes within the UK Marketing team. You would be working as part of a great culture and dynamic team for the world’s leading headwear company. This is a fantastic learning experience and opportunity for the right individual.
Responsibilities could include but are not limited to:
Lead and own relationships with key strategic UK retail account, building and executing the 12-month brand calendar
Exploration of new opportunities with key strategic UK retail account to enhance visibility of the New Era brand
Lead implementation of key marketing stories with UK independent wholesale accounts
Ownership of the UK Marketing account calendar, updating planned activity accordingly
Ownership of internal monthly wrap report, sharing and communicating wholesale marketing activity with key stakeholders
Support UK Marketing Manager on retail projects across sporting accounts
Support UK Marketing Manager with ECOM imagery requests, working with the Marketing Coordinator to shoot where necessary
Support UK Marketing Manager on event-based activations
Build and maintain relationships with key internal dept’s, namely sales, product and marketing design
Build and maintain relationships with key agency partners across digital and retail output
Follow the product and marketing calendar to ensure relevant accounts have assets and launch dates
Track, quantify and communicate results from digital marketing activity with accounts
Development of creative briefs for in-house design team and external agencies for seasonal campaigns assets and resizes
Coordinate the distribution of store hardware across regional accounts and tracking the execution of the product presentation.
Keep up to date with competitor insight, retailer activity and trend research within the UK
Showroom set up and merchandising with the local team for each season
Support the Marketing Manager on ad hoc projects and day to day tasks as required
Occasional UK travel to account and agency meetings
Knowledge & Experience
Passion for marketing within the sports and fashion industries
Basic knowledge of trade marketing
Degree educated in marketing (desired)
Able to prioritise workload
Ability to handle and manage ambiguity
“Can do” attitude with enthusiasm and strong work ethic
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Confident when speaking with senior members of staff
Good awareness of social media and digital landscape
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Proactive self-starter with hands on attitude
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs
Please note that this role is fixed term for 12 months, and is 4 days working in our Milton Keynes office, and 1 day working from home.
