Purpose
of this Role The Marketing Coordinator is an entry-level position that plays a vital role in United Way’s marketing and communications efforts, with a focus on engaging donors, raising awareness, and driving support for the organization’s mission. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a marketing background seeking to grow their skills in a
collaborative
and
mission-driven
nonprofit environment.
Key Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities:
Understand brand standards and work with stakeholders to ensure standards are upheld across all
communication
mediums. Embolden UWCW’s social media presence by designing, building and tracking social media campaigns related to the organization’s progress and updates. Champion
inclusive
and culturally responsive marketing practices that resonate with
diverse
communities. Content Creation & Deliverables (45%):
Draft and edit content for collateral and branded materials, including emails, newsletters, advertisements, website content, press releases, and social media content. Lead on design, layout, and printing for key initiatives while ensuring adherence to brand standards. Support the development and delivery of high-impact marketing campaigns across print and digital platforms. Support the maintenance of website content, ensuring information is accurate and engaging.
Analytics (20%):
Prepare and analyze regular reports on email marketing performance, social media engagement, and website traffic to optimize campaigns. Design, build, and track email marketing campaigns using platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. Coordination and
Collaboration
(35%):
Manage the marketing campaign calendar and maintain organized project workflows. Collaborate with the
Community Impact
team to align messaging with organizational goals. Assist internal teams with creating presentations and collateral for internal and external meetings. Support resource development campaigns by creating donor-centric content and materials. Actively contribute to planning and executing marketing strategies for United Way events.
