As our organisation continues to expand, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

The Marketing & Communications Manager will bring more public awareness towards our organisation. It will also enhance our organisation’s rebranding and publicity efforts. It will also strengthen our organisation’s presence in the industry to garner more volunteers and donors to provide better and more efficient services to our community. This position will also manage the development and implementation of marketing & communications strategies to achieve our organisation’s business and community goals, enhance service line growth and to maintain a positive, favourable public image in the community and industry.

You Will

Develop content and direct creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message.

Design campaigns to target specific audiences, placing an emphasis and discipline on campaign performance to help with recommendations for future programs.

Direct in-house and external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production specialists integral to the completion of marketing projects.

Contribute ideas for new programs, researching and recommending innovative branding techniques.

Research and understand key challenges, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impacts programs within the assigned departments.

Provide hands-on support for assigned departments, paying close attention to timelines.

Identify and present opportunities for consistency across channels from in-premise signage to digital to print.

Develop an understanding of short- and long-term goals and planned initiatives.

Adjust, communicate, and plan changes as necessary to ensure marketing costs are within budget

Work closely and pro-actively with the Executive Director and fellow Leadership Team members to achieve desired outcomes

Stay informed of developments in the field of marketing and communications within the industry to foster ideas and innovation.

Skills And Competencies

Good organizational, planning, and coordination skills

Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed to meet aggressive deadlines

Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detail-oriented

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships

Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills

Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or equivalent/related fields

Minimum of 5-7 years of advertising or marketing experience, preferably in social services or non-profit sector

Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any web content management system

Fluent in written and spoken English & Malay
