The International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM)is looking for a Communications and Marketing Coordinator. The post-holder will be based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The post is for 12 months, renewable, full-time hours (40 hrs/week), at a negotiable salary depending on level of previous experience. Candidates must be in a position to commence employment within 2 months of job offer (must hold a self-sponsored visa and health insurance).

Purpose
TheCommunicationand Marketing Coordinator will support the development and execution of IFEM’s marketing andcommunicationstrategies to enhance member engagement, strengthen brand identity, and promote IFEM’s educational and event offerings, including the International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM). This role will engage key target audiences, maintain consistent messaging, and maximize visibility through digital and social channels, publications, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
DigitalCommunicationand Social Media
Coordinate IFEM’s monthly social media content plan and oversee IFEM’s social media presence (Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram).
Coordinate IFEM’s email campaigns, including newsletters and targeted campaigns, ensuring regular engagement and high-quality content tailored to audience segments.
Develop content that can be multi-purposed across various channels, ensuring alignment with IFEM’s visual identity andcommunicationstandards.
Design social media graphics and edit video content.
Website andCustomer RelationshipManagement
Coordinate website updates to maintain a professional and accessible digital presence for IFEM’s members and the global audience.
Use Nation Builder CRM to manage and segment IFEM’s contact database, ensuring streamlined and targeted outreach.
Event and Conference Promotion
Collaborate with the events team to promote the International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM) and other IFEM-led events.
Assist with award nominationpromotion, support speaker interviews, and develop pre-conference promotional material.
Member Engagement and Community Building
Foster asense of communityamong IFEM members through regular updates, structured direct outreach, and engagement campaigns.
Coordinate opportunities for member societies to share their successes and challenges, enhancing visibility and mutual support within IFEM.
Committee and Special Interest Group (SIG) Support
Support IFEM’s committees and SIGs (e.g., Trauma SIG, Pediatric EM SIG, Geriatric EM SIG, Disaster SIG) in producing quarterly newsletters, promotional content, and updating website profiles.
Assist with designing and disseminating SIG resources and promoting their initiatives via IFEM’s channels.
Marketing Analytics and Reporting
Track key performance metrics across digital and social media platforms, newsletters, and CRM analytics.
Measure the impact of campaigns and prepare reports to informcontinuous improvementand future strategies.
Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, social media, and digital communications.
Demonstrated working experience managing social media platforms.
