This Workforce Development/EducationManager will oversee all workforce and development programs serving youth 14-26 at The Children’s Cabinet in Reno, Nevada, including Youth Build,Educationand Training Voucher program, Redfield Academy, and Continued Success. The primary role is to oversee and manage various aspects of programs to ensure successful implementation, manage programmatic staff, and manage multiple funding sources.
Supervision Exercised:
Supervision of program volunteers, Case Managers, Coordinators, Specialists, and Interns.
Duties:
Strategic Program Development:
– Work closely with the Program Director to providestrategic leadershipin the development and execution of workforce development programs, aligning initiatives with the organization’s overarching goals.
– Drive the design and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum that integrates academiceducation, vocational training, and community service.
Program Management:
– Supervise program staff, overseeing their activities, performance planning, and evaluation.
– Coordinate staff development activities and provideleadershipand support to promoteteamworkand opencommunication.
– Act as a media contact for family and youth issues, as well as other relevant topics directed by the Program Director.
– Prepare and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for agency and funder requirements.
– Manage day-to-day operations of workforce development programs, ensuring adherence to budgets,resource allocation, and timelines.
Financial Management:
– Work closely with the Program Director and Finance team to manage program budgets effectively.
– Identify, develop, and maintaindiversefunding sources, including grant writing, to support program components.
– Oversee program operations, including budgeting, administration of grants, long-term planning, and general administration.
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement:
– Negotiate contracts andcollaborativeagreements with public funders incollaborationwith the Program Director.
– Develop and maintaincommunicationlinkages with relevant agencies, corporations, and community stakeholders.
– Facilitate the development and maintenance of community-based partnerships to address family and youth issues.
Policy Development and Compliance:
– Develop and implement program policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, State and Federal guidelines.
– Ensure adherence to program guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements set by funding agencies and governing bodies.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
– Set annual goals and objectives related to specific job functions.
– Develop and implement performance standards, tracking progress towards measurable outcomes to achieve program goals.
Strategic Planning and Development:
– Work closely with the Program and/orLeadershipteam to review program operations, evaluation results, and strategic plans.
– Contribute to the success of the agency’s mission, strategic focus areas, and overall goals through effective program management.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
– Attend and participate in department and agency staff meetings and events as needed.
– Develop and administer regular program staff meetings to ensure open and clearcommunication.
– Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director.
