Position:  Manager / Wildlife Trade – Contract

(What the role is)

You will be responsible for the following duties:

(What you will be working on)

– Assist in the organisation of international events contributing to biodiversity conservation, with scope including, but not limited to, event planning, volunteer management, fundraising, donor management, partnership cultivation, and administrative support

– Assist in developing and implementing an international youth network to engage in the conservation of endangered wildlife species through CITES

– Facilitate the creation of partnerships with national CITES authorities, non-governmental organisations, youth organisations, academic institutions and more to promote youth involvement in CITES activities

– Develop and implement a comprehensive

communication

and outreach strategy to promote the international youth network among the target audience

– Support ad hoc work pertaining to CITES and wildlife trade as needed

(What we are looking for)

– Degree in Life Science, Biological Science, Environment Science, Conservation Biology, Zoology or any related discipline

– Preferably with working experience in public engagement

– Possess good writing, interpersonal and

communication skills

– Applicants with a keen interest in wildlife/wildlife conservation would be preferred

– Able to multi-task and work under pressure, and produce deliverables within given deadlines

– Must be an independent worker as well as a good team player

– Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
