Manager, National Partnerships
The Arc of the United States is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Manager of National Partnerships to help grow and strengthen partnerships that generate revenue and advance our mission of promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Reporting to the Senior Executive Officer of Development, the Manager of National Partnerships will manage and expand a national portfolio of corporate, foundation, and institutional partners. This role is ideal for a strategic relationship builder who enjoys identifying new opportunities, developing compelling partnerships, and bringing internal and external stakeholders together around shared goals.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

Build and manage a proactive pipeline of prospective corporate, foundation, nonprofit, academic, and other strategic partners.

Research and identify organizations whose priorities align with The Arc’s work in disability rights, inclusion, health and Medicaid policy, employment, civic engagement, and other key areas.

Cultivate new relationships through outreach, discovery meetings, proposal development, negotiation, and partnership execution.

Develop partnership opportunities that may include philanthropic investments, corporate sponsorships, program underwriting, cause marketing, co-branded initiatives, employee engagement, and national campaigns.

Manage and steward a portfolio of national partners, strengthening relationships and identifying opportunities for renewal and growth.

Collaborate across Development, Programs, Chapters, Finance, Operations, and Marketing and Communications to ensure successful partnership implementation and fulfillment.

Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and other materials that communicate The Arc’s impact and partnership opportunities.

Track partnership pipelines, revenue forecasts, prospects, deliverables, and performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Help build sustainable, multi-year partnerships that create shared value while advancing The Arc’s mission.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate fundraising, corporate relations, nonprofit development, or a related area.

Demonstrated success cultivating and securing corporate, foundation, or institutional partnerships that generate revenue.

Experience developing proposals, sponsorship opportunities, funding requests, or partnership presentations.

Experience managing a fundraising or partnership pipeline, including prospecting, cultivation, forecasting, and stewardship.

Excellent written and verbal communication and strong relationship-building skills.

Strong project management, research, analytical, and organizational skills.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.

Proficiency with fundraising databases/CRMs, prospect research tools, and Microsoft Office.

The ability and willingness to travel nationally as needed.
Experience with corporate philanthropy, CSR/ESG initiatives, cause marketing, sponsorships, or institutional partnerships is preferred. Experience in the disability field, disability rights, civil or human rights advocacy, or familiarity with people with IDD is also strongly preferred.
