Position Overview:

GiveLight currently serves 1,500 children globally. Within the next year, we intend to serve 3,000. The Manager of Growth & Expansion will own that goal: building the strategy, forging the partnerships, and driving the community engagement that makes it possible.

What You Will Drive

Strategy & Program Expansion

  • Develop and own a growth roadmap with clear goals, timelines, and metrics
  • Identify new program opportunities, run pilots, and scale what works
  • Build monitoring and evaluation systems to track impact and guide decisions

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Cultivate relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders
  • Represent GiveLight with cultural sensitivity and mission clarity
  • Develop partnerships that open new communities and geographies to our programs

Fundraising & Donor Development

  • Support grant applications, donor cultivation, and campaign fundraising
  • Use CRM and donor management tools to track relationships and report on engagement
  • Create communications that connect donors directly to the children we serve

Marketing & Communications

  • Execute marketing strategies that raise awareness and inspire action
  • Use digital platforms to extend our reach and tell GiveLight’s story consistently

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteers focused on growth
  • Foster a motivated team culture built around our mission

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5 years in the nonprofit sector with a track record in program growth, fundraising, or community development
  • A genuine personal commitment to improving the lives of children globally
  • Strategic thinker who follows through with disciplined execution
  • Strong communicator across written, verbal, and public speaking contexts
  • Experience leading teams and volunteers in lean, resource-conscious environments
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and experience with diverse communities
  • Proficiency in CRM, donor management, and digital marketing tools
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or certifications are a plus

Position Details

Schedule: Part-time for first 3 months, transitioning to full-time based on performance

Compensation: $34/hour plus healthcare stipend and paid sick/vacation

Location: Hybrid, San Francisco Bay Area required

Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States
