Position: The Major Donor and Planned Giving Manager is responsible for implementing a comprehensive planned giving program to secure significant financial support for John 3:16 Mission. This role involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors with a focus on planned giving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planned giving strategies and a passion for advancing the mission of John 3:16 Mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Planned Giving Program Development: Design and execute a comprehensive planned giving program aligned with the mission’s goals and objectives.
Donor Identification and Cultivation: Identify and engage potential planned gift donors through research, outreach, and personalized communication strategies.
Solicitation and Stewardship: Prepare and present proposals to prospective donors, ensuring a personalized approach that aligns donor interests with mission needs. Maintain ongoing relationships with donors to foster long-term engagement and support.
Collaboration: Work closely with legal, financial, and estate planning professionals to facilitate planned gifts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.
Marketing and Communication: Develop marketing materials and communication strategies to promote planned giving opportunities to various audiences.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of donor interactions and planned giving activities. Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of the planned giving program to leadership.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications in fundraising or nonprofit management preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in major gifts and planned giving, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Demonstrated success in securing planned gifts and managing donor relationships.
Skills: Strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors. Proficiency in donor database management and fundraising software.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,678.00 – $63,968.00 per year
