Maintenance Associate Jobs in Lafayette, LA at Goodwill Industries of Acadiana
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform service requests per work orders.
Ensure timely apartment turnovers to include painting, floor care and the supervision of overall cleaning of the unit.
Repair minor issues in relation to heating, a/c, plumbing and electrical problems. Handle contractual work for the same when necessary.
Make regular inspections of grounds, building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and major equipment to ensure safe working and living conditions.
Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment, supplies, office equipment and furnishings.
Ensure that grounds are maintained including the care of landscaping plants and report problems to the Director of Facilities.
Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Experience in general maintenance to include heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
2. Must be available on an emergency basis for maintenance.
3. Must be able to communicate effectively.
4. Must be capable of using extension ladder to access roof, windows and siding to make repairs as needed.
5. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
6. Available to work hours as assigned.
