Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Maryland
High School Diploma
Current CPR/First Aid training
Phlebotomy Skills
Primary Responsibilities
Assists with providing patient care
Keep all medical charts up to date
Assisting in the delivery of other required services
Assist in completing Care Plans
Assist in designing new Care Plans
Complete monthly progress notes for each participant
Take monthly vital signs and weight
Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities as assigned by Program Director
Create medical appointment packets and accompany individuals during appointment
Complete Incident Reports as needed
Communicate with care provider of any medication changes
Obtain and implement all orders received my MD and notify care provider of any and all changes
Maintain infection control policies and procedures
Administer medications as ordered by MD
Fax all medication changes to the pharmacy
Ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the nursing office
Update all medication changes in the database
Complete monthly medical supply inventory check
Check in all medications delivered from the pharmacy
Provide supervision to the entire day program in case of the absence of the Registered Nurse and Program Director
Maintain healthy environment with staff
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
