Local Coordinator Jobs in Remote at STS Foundation High School Student Exchange

Please note that this is a voluntary role with minimal compensation. This role is ideal for people looking to be involved in their community and make new international connections. Candidates must be at least 25 years of age. We are looking for individuals that reside in Wyoming, Colordao, Utah, or Nevada.

Looking to hire a mature, responsible, self-motivated individual to fill a work-from-home position with a U.S. State Department accredited non-profit organization (STS Foundation) that works with high school foreign exchange students. Must be at least 25 years old, pass a background check, and have access to a home computer with internet.

Responsibilities

Attend trainings every other week
Recruit host families, assist them with their application, call references, conduct a home visit
Communicate placements with schools
Conduct a Host Family Orientation prior to students arrival
Conduct a Student Orientation within 1st month
Make monthly visits/video calls with student, host family, and school representative and report (First month in person of semester in person)
Help students and host families resolve issues or differences
Schedule and hold a student activity at least once per semester
Conduct a Student and Host Family Exit Orientation

Summary

As a Local Coordinator, you will be instrumental in supervising student placement and their exchange experience while fostering community engagement. Reporting to the regional director, your role focuses on recruiting and training volunteer host families while supporting students in their educational journeys. With core skills in volunteer management and relevant experience in social work and teaching, you will ensure that each students program runs smoothly and possitively. Your ability to connect with students and host families will be essential in creating a positive impact within the community. Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,100.00 – $7,700.00 per year
