Hours: Flexible, Evenings 4-9 PM, M-Th
Pay: $19.00

To provide group and individualized support for autistic young adults seeking to increase independence and life skills.
What you will do:
Complete training for Columbus and specific training for NextWork
Engage with clients in classes and activities at NextWork and in the community.
Set goals with individual clients as assigned, and track their progress through daily data.
Serve as an accountability partner to encourage clients to accomplish their goals and reach their desired outcomes.
Consult with the team to identify client needs and best practices.
Communicate with parents
Identify additional mental health needs and work with therapists as needed
Understand, model and teach executive function skills, adaptive skills and self-management
Basic finances
Personal Hygiene and cleanliness
Keeping an apartment clean
Proper nutrition
Self-management and self-care
Responsibilities and accountability
Social and community interactions
Organization, time-management, etc.
Identify any needs the clients may have which are not met by NextWork, including government benefits, supports, employment, and residential services,
Provide appropriate referrals to other providers
Establish methods for self-care to avoid burnout
What you’ll need to succeed:
At least 2 years’ experience working with adults with disabilities, mental health needs, and/or learning differences.
Familiarity with Teams and Microsoft Office
Ability to drive a 10-person van
Ability to use public transit
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
Excellent problem-solving skills
A cool head and sense of logic blended with compassion
