Job Summary
The Development Director plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of our organization by leading fundraising initiatives and developing strategic partnerships. This position is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive development strategies that enhance our visibility and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, a passion for community engagement, and a proven track record in grant proposal writing and fundraising.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to meet organizational goals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Oversee grant proposal writing and submission processes to secure funding from various sources.
Manage social media platforms to enhance outreach and engagement with stakeholders.
Utilize databases such as Salesforce to track donor interactions and contributions.
Create compelling content for newsletters using tools like Constant Contact and MailChimp.
Conduct market research to identify potential funding opportunities and trends in philanthropy.
Collaborate with university partners to leverage resources for development initiatives.
Prepare reports on fundraising progress and outcomes for internal stakeholders.
Skills
Proficiency in social media management to effectively promote the organization’s mission.
Experience with Constant Contact, MailChimp, or similar email marketing platforms.
Strong understanding of databases, particularly Salesforce, for donor management.
Excellent relationship management skills to foster long-term partnerships.
Proven ability in grant proposal writing and proposal writing for various funding opportunities.
Knowledge of market trends related to nonprofit fundraising and community engagement.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on persuasive storytelling.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $111,697.00 per year
