Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York (JA CUNY) Rochester, NY | Hybrid Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000

We’re seeking a Learning Experiences Coordinator who thrives on building relationships, creating meaningful educational experiences, and supporting students as they discover their potential.

This role works closely with educators, volunteers, students, and community partners to coordinate JA programs, student events, and volunteer engagement opportunities throughout our 25-county region.

About the Role

The Learning Experiences Coordinator works closely with the Director of Learning Experiences to support the implementation and growth of Junior Achievement programs throughout our region.

This highly collaborative role combines program coordination, event management, school partnership development, volunteer engagement, and data tracking to ensure high-quality experiences for students, educators, volunteers, and community partners.

The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-focused, adaptable, and excited about supporting mission-driven work that helps young people build brighter futures.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation & School Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with educators and school partners.
  • Coordinate the successful implementation of JA learning experiences across K-12 settings.
  • Ensure program quality, consistency, and participant satisfaction.
  • Support communication with educators regarding scheduling, curriculum, and program logistics.
  • Track participation and program outcomes through reporting and surveys.

Student Events & Learning Experiences

  • Coordinate engaging student-focused events, including:
  • JA Entrepreneurial Youth Summit, JA Stock Market Challenge, JA Titan, Future JA Summit initiatives,
  • Manage event logistics, registration, materials, communications, and operations.
  • Assist with budgeting and resource planning.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance participant experiences.

Volunteer Engagement

  • Partner with the Volunteer Engagement Manager to support volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts.
  • Assist with volunteer training and communications.
  • Gather participant and volunteer feedback to strengthen programming and engagement.

Administrative & Organizational Support

  • Assist with educational materials management and inventory planning.
  • Support school invoicing and program-related administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate across departments on organization-wide initiatives.
  • Support signature events and fundraising activities, including the Rochester Business Hall of Fame and Bowl-A-Thon.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel throughout the service region.

Preferred

  • Experience in education, nonprofit organizations, event planning, volunteer management, youth development, community engagement, or program coordination.
  • Experience working with schools, educators, students, or volunteers.
  • Familiarity with data tracking, reporting, and program evaluation.
