Position Title: Leadership Giving & Stewardship Manager

FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 100%
Schedule of Duties: 12-Month
Salary Range: $80,000- $95,000 annual/salary
Position Purpose: The Leadership Giving & Stewardship Manager is responsible for managing the schools planning and implementation of major and capital gift efforts. This position is charged with implementing and monitoring campaign plans, the effective staffing of volunteers, tracking and stewardship of all major leadership giving activity.
Specific Expectations for Advancement Staff: In addition to duties and essential job functions listed in job descriptions, the following responsibilities are expected of all employees in the Advancement Department:
Professional development as required and approved by your supervisor, work beyond your regular hours when required and approved by your supervisor, and attendance of, or participation in, mandatory meetings and/or events as directed by your supervisor including but not limited to the tri-annual Directors Days and Annual Auction. All employees will be paid appropriately and according to current law. In the case you are required to work outside of your normal work schedule, non-exempt employees will receive overtime pay, as eligible.
Essential Duties:
Leadership Giving Project Management:
Maintain systems, data entry and data management to track and advance leadership gifts and campaign activity
Collaborate with campaign volunteers, Director of Schools, and Chief Advancement Officer regarding the strategic direction of leadership giving program and campaign activity
Prioritize donors and coordinate or conduct prospect research
Draft briefing memos and thank you notes for the Director of Schools, Chief Advancement Officer, and volunteer solicitors
Prepare and draft proposals and or communications
Coordinate with the Director of Annual Fund and the Alumni Relations & Past Parent Engagement Manager on strategy, planning and activity related to their areas
Prepare supporting materials and compile packets for briefing and solicitation meetings
Enter campaign and leadership giving activity notes into Raisers Edge and/or other tool(s) in use for tracking and management purposes as directed
Coordinate all marketing and events related to leadership gift effort with the Director of Communications, Director of Events, and the Chief Advancement Officer
Assist in scheduling solicitation meetings as needed
Volunteer Committee Support:
Support volunteer solicitor recruitment and training
Schedule and coordinate solicitor meetings with the Chief Advancement Officer and Committee Chairs
Provide administrative support for solicitor meetings including taking minutes
Communication action items and responsibilities to internal partners and solicitation volunteers
Provide scheduling support for meetings with prospective donors and volunteers
Provide materials and support for committee meetings and cultivation events
Be a positive and productive member of the Advancement Team
Stewardship:
Support and encourage strong stewardship and exceptional donor experiences
Ensure an excellent donor experience
Manage a comprehensive stewardship program that appropriately and consistently promotes interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels
Work in partnership with the Director of Schools and Chief Advancement Officer to prospect, build, and strengthen relationships with all individual donors, focusing on major donors
Establish and manage information tracking processes regarding acknowledgment, recognition, ongoing communications, and continued cultivation of past and current donors to enhance their relationship with the school and increase the likelihood of continued contributions
Develop and assess policies and procedures that are essential for a comprehensive donor relations program. Coordinate, implement, and execute those policies and procedures
Design, document, and implement a systematic and integrated donor relations program
Other tasks, as assigned to help meet the goals of the Advancement Office and the school as directed by the Chief Advancement Officer
Required Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree or the equivalent knowledge gained through experience is required
A minimum of three years of non-profit development experience; independent school, major gift, or capital campaign experience a plus
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Blackbaud, etc.) database use/management (Raisers Edge experience desired)
Online proficiency in Canva
Commitment to maintain absolute confidentiality
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytic, problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional skills in Spanish are valued and preferred
Excellent research, writing, editing skills
Results-driven approach with a bias towards action and accuracy

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
View and operate a computer frequently and consistently, especially in the preparation or reports, crafting and responding to emails, viewing presentations, etc.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with the school population and the public
Must be able to travel safely and comfortably across our 63-acre campus for a variety of events and meetings, often several in a workday
Must be physically able to assist, when necessary, with event setup and breakdown, including lifting up-to 30-lbs
Must comply with all state vaccination requirements and show proof of vaccination including but not limited to COVID-19 or proof of eligibility for exemption
Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate and may work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and fundraising events
Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts
