LEAD TEACHER
P.A.C.E. Youth Build is a high-impact, holistic, non-profit community development organization. Our mission is to empower the youth of Greater New Bedford with job opportunities that equip them with the resources and skills necessary for success. Our vision is to see entire generations in the Greater New Bedford area, empowered to grasp their worth and transform their communities.
P.A.C.E. Youth Build is actively seeking a full-time charismatic Teacher (no license required) to instruct/facilitate learning in GeneralEducationcourses, support student needs, and act as a key mentor for the youth in our program. P.A.C.E. Youth Build supports Opportunity Youth from the Greater New Bedford area, ages 16-24 years old. The students in the program are pursuing their HiSET Certificate, work-readiness skills, and credentials in Carpentry.
Full-time students attend the program Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
This position qualifies for the Federal “Student Loan Forgiveness” Program as P.A.C.E. Youth Build is both a non-profit and an educational assistance agency. Staff are expected to be positive role models for the youth enrolled in our program and work in support of the overall mission and vision of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead weekly programming
Lead educational and enrichment activities for each cohort (10-15 total students)
Facilitate educational learning and job readiness curriculum and initiatives
Support daily needs of students and their progress through the program

SALARY:$19.00 – $22.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Work schedule:Monday – Friday 8 a.m.
– 4 p.m.
