With a rich history of over 90 years, The Madras Seva Sadan is a prestigious institution in Chennai, dedicated to the holistic development of individuals aimed at producing self-supporting and self-reliant members of society. Its comprehensive approach includes a strong emphasis on education, sports and social welfare. The organization has grown to encompass 12 units and employs more than 600 people.
Today, The Madras Seva Sadan comprises various prominent units such as the Lady Andal IB School, Sir Mutha CBSE School, Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall and The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School, to name a few units.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic professional with 3 to 4 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and CSR outreach . The ideal candidate has worked on social impact projects, either within a social enterprise or in collaboration with CSR teams, and has experience in marketing or event management—preferably even within startups. Our ideal candidate has a strong proficiency in budgeting, works well with Microsoft Office Suite and has the flexibility to travel within the city.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a detailed market search to identify, curate and source a list of CSR partners, volunteering events and donor channels.
Develop and maintain a network of contacts to identify new partnership opportunities.
Create engaging content for outreach materials, including newsletters, social media posts, etc.
Help track and evaluate partnership outcomes and growth metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Develop and manage detailed budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
Communicate with donors to understand their needs and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with them.
Draft donor communications including project updates and proposals.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to close high-value deals, refine sales strategies, and monitor key metrics to meet or exceed targets.
Stay informed about trends in corporate social responsibility and volunteerism.
Skills and Qualifications:
3 to 4 years of experience in managing projects and building client relationships. (Social Impact experience will be a huge plus)
Experience in Fundraising with CSR, philanthropy, and retail, either independently or with a team
Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative.
Fluency in both English and Tamil is a must. (Fluency in Hindi will be a huge plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidate must be based in Chennai, with availability for full-time hours 9 am to 5 pm.
