Job Summary

Assists with the collection, coordination, processing and quality control of clinical data. Coordinates and provides a broad range of services related to input and report generation of data supporting the organization. Collaborates with other staff members involved with executing information and data management systems/functions. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Five years’ technical experience: Preferred

Essential Functions

Assists with record/s reviews to abstract and record highly specialized medical data. Enters and verifies data in a computerized database.

Assists with research, analytical and consultative services/support, for both internal and external hospital stakeholders.

Serves as a liaison and reference resource to physicians, investigators, staff members and other organizations with questions about data collection or protocol procedures and requirements.

Assists with routine audits to insure quality and completeness of the data submitted.

Works closely with Database Manager to ensure data quality.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
