SOAR (Strengthening Outcomes with Autism Resources) is a dedicated non-profit organization founded in 2012 by passionate parents seeking to provide essential resources and support for individuals on the autism spectrum. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we serve through a variety of therapeutic services, educational advocacy, life skills and employment skills. We now have a brand new 8500 sq ft autism center with a cafe (1000 sq ft) to provide home style meals, and pizza to our staff, children, and the public (public drive through only).
As kitchen staff-cook at SOAR, you will play a vital role in our culinary operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Manage inventory and maintain kitchen operations.
Heat and serve homestyle meals cooked by head cook/chef (ex. meatloaf, meatsauce, beans and rice).
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook or chef in a professional kitchen setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and dietary regulations.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Assist, guide, and support an adult with autism with a passion for cooking.
Hours are 4pm-7-7:30pm Monday – Friday to start.
